Plugins have become a top source of both security and performance issues on WordPress sites. It’s time you got a handle on yours and I’m here to help. On Jan. 28, 2015, I’ll be offering a zero-pitch, no-hype, all help webinar where we’ll cover common plugin problems. And, we’ll help a few select folks go over their plugin list live.
This post is part of the Successful Site Owner Series
But, and here’s the catch…
You have to do your part too.
In a 3 part series of blog posts, I’m going to give you steps to take. One step each week. This will help you get the most benefit from the live webinar too.
Step 1
Make a list of all the plugins on your site.
That’s it.
Start a new spreadsheet and simply make a list of all plugins, active or not, currently on your site.
How a List Helps
Too many site owners are out of touch with just how many plugins they’ve got. They install things and forget about them.
During Site Audits the plugins on the site are one of the main things I check. And then I compare that to all of the orphaned files and database tables on the site.
But it all starts with that list.
Quick and Easy
This is a super easy thing for you to do to help yourself get a grip on your plugin situation.
And it’s the first step in the process. You can’t do the rest without this list.
So, go make it and have it ready for next week.
More Steps and Webinar
I’ll give you another step to do next week.
And, I’ll give you the webinar link on week 3.
Then on week 4, Jan 28, we’ll meet live.
So go make your list and do your part to get in on this free help.
Get to the Head of the Line
If you made it this far in the post, I assume you’re serious about getting your plugins under control.
BlogAid News subscribers will have first shot at being selected to have their plugins reviewed during the live webinar. Hint hint.
Jan 2014?
Thanks Tom. Got it corrected.
