I’m delighted to announce the launch of Cathey Stamps Coaching. Cathey is a Certified Life Coach, an MSSW, and a former private psychotherapy practitioner who helps clients across the U.S. She took the Scratch to Published for Advanced site owners training sessions to help her create a professional looking site that reflects both her vision and needs.
Since the release of WordPress 3.5, I’ve been busy making updates to the BlogAid Video Tutorial Libraries. While updating the video for site settings, I realized that it’s been a couple of years since I checked my sites, and a few things have changed. In this video tutorial, I cover all of the standard settings and invite you to take just a few minutes to watch it while you are logged into your site. I’m betting you’ll find a few things that either changed in the core of WordPress and affect your site, or settings for new things you’ve learned since you first launched your site.
Hello Happy Site Owners! Happy New Year. I mean it. Today is the first day of a new year. And there is a special vibe in the air. It’s a great time to let go of what no longer serves and move forward a little lighter and a little brighter. For BlogAid, that means to stop building and start expanding. I enjoy working with my clients one-on-one so much, but I can only help just so many people that way. To help more folks, and to keep costs low for everyone, I’ve had to find ways to scale the business and webinars are a great fit. I’ve got several on tap for the next few months and they start today with a free MailChimp webinar. I checked this morning and there are a few spots left, but it does cap at 100 folks on the live call. So, if you’re hearing this early enough, you can join us at 12:00 noon ET. If not, be sure to subscribe to BlogAid News so you’ll get advance notice of the next one.
A vulnerability in the W3 Total Cache plugin was revealed Christmas Eve. It’s one that site owners who use the plugin need to take seriously and get fixed. Plus, another recent report on the real speed improvements has been released and, for me, call into question whether using such a plugin is worth the potential risk and hassle. See what I found in these two reports and more, and then decide for yourself.
Learn the powerful MailChimp features you need to know to run a successful list in this free webinar from BlogAid. Join me Jan. 1, 2013 at 12:00 noon ET to learn about all the ways MailChimp can help you stay in front of your clients. I’ll cover setting up your defaults properly to segmenting your list for RSS feeds.

Ileane SmithI’m delighted to welcome Ileane Smith of Basic Blog Tips to the BlogAid Podcast. She is a walking, talking encyclopedia of helpful information and generously shares it freely everywhere online. Prior to the podcast we had chosen to narrow our topic list down to ScoopIt and YouTube. But, Ileane knows all the connections and she shared the full circle of how to share content on multiple platforms the easy way, and why you should. Even with that, we barely scratched the surface and when you hear this podcast, you’ll understand why I’ve got to have her back on the show. Listen to the podcast now.
