XSS and How to Protect Yourself
XSS is a common Cross Site Scripting security vulnerabiltiy for WordPress and plugins.
Listen to how one site owner got hacked in 15 minutes from clicking on a link.
And, discover how to protect yourself from the same thing.
Why to Log Out of Your Site
Do you start working on your site and then walk away, still logged in?
That’s chewing up massive hosting resources and putting your site at risk.
Why Not to Do Free HTTPS
Remember that scene from the Poseidon Adventure where the preacher is trying to encourage more folks to climb up the Christmas tree and they won’t listen?
Remember how when the water started flooding in and they all started trying to get up the tree?
Yeah, that’s the scene playing over and over in my head now when I read how many site owners are going the free route with HTTPS.
See my post on the top 10 reasons NOT to do free HTTPS.
Designers – need to learn how to do HTTPS conversions? See Level 3 of the Webmaster Training courses.
Comment Reply Notification Plugin Tests Starting – I need your help!!!
What comment reply notification plugin do you use?
Let me know asap so I can get it into my test list!!
I still use an old one, Reply Me. It passed the Php 7 test so I still use it since it works and is so easy to use.
Thanks! Got it on my list.
Well if I understand this right, you know me, I use Contact Form 7.
Debra, not contact forms, comments on posts. I’m testing plugins that notify folks when a reply has been left on their comment.
