Today, the new MailChimp User Interface (UI) becomes permanent. You will no longer be able to switch back to the original. A lot has changed, and you may be a little disoriented moving around. See the video below to get your bearings. I’m also fully updating the MailChimp Video Course for the new UI, plus adding new tutorials to help create great looking subscription widgets and emails. It’s a step-by-step course to take your from start to finish with creating a successful email list.
Good Morning, I have a new business and am about to get MailChimp. Must admit pretty scared as so not a techy person. Everytime I look at your youtube tutorials or at Mailchimps homepage I become more confused and put off doing anything. My first question is. Will I get a new email address…….@mailchimp.com or do I use my current big pond email address?Kind Regards Sue
Hi Sue. MailChimp is a delivery service for sending. It’s not an email client, like Gmail. So, you don’t get another email address. But, MailChimp does require you to provide contact info for yourself including your name, a street address, and an email address. These things will be publicly viewable at the bottom of every email you send to your List. (It’s to stay in compliance with the federal CAN-SPAM Act.)
