More About the Workshops
The workshops run daily from Fri, Dec 14 through Mon, Dec 17.
You’ll receive an email with a link to that day’s workshop page with full instructions.
Can’t do it this weekend? No worries!!!
You’ll have full access to all workshop pages after the drip emails complete, and they will be open through the end of December for reference.
There are no pre-scheduled live sessions.
More About Cloning
There are multiple ways to clone your site. This workshop has step-by-step instructions for using the wonderful UpdraftClone service, which makes it super, duper easy to make a copy of your site onto their cloud platform.
The service runs on tokens and a one-time $15 purchase gets your site on their cloud for a full month.
That’s plenty of time for you to do the WP 5.0 upgrade and still have time to play with Gutenberg.
More About Free Gutenberg Classes
Morten Hendriksen, the lead at Lynda.com (now LinkedIn Learning) has made his Gutenberg course available for free through the end of December.
We’ll take the classes together and compare notes on all the fun ways we can use Gutenberg or the issues we run into.
This way you’ll know for sure if you want to use Gutenberg now or wait until more improvements come along. (They will be releasing bug fixes and improvements every 2 weeks!!)
And the best part – it’s on a sandbox site, so you don’t have to worry about blowing things up!
Play all you want – try everything – have fun!
Support
Free support will be available via comments on each workshop page. If we can answer it in the comments, we will. Paid support to put qualified eyeballs on your site is also available.
Site audit clients and webmasters will have deeper support available via our respective Facebook groups.
Live Sessions
There are no pre-scheduled live sessions. All of the workshop instructions are on the workshop pages so you can do them at your convenience.
But, we may have bonus live sessions via Zoom, if warranted by what folks run into or have questions about during the workshop period. We’ll play that by ear.
Workshop registration is now closed
I’m only now beginning to put together a blog, which I hope I can monetize in the future. I will be unable to do any of these workshops by the end of December. Will there be any further instruction concerning getting started with Guttenburg after the 1st. of the year?
Congrats on starting a new blog, Anthony. There are LOTS of guides and tutorials on Gutenberg. It’s just that Morten’s classes are only free until Dec 31. That’s why we are jumping on them now.
