Noindex Hide Page from Google and Sitemaps

The WordPress SEO plugin has 5 settings that make it super easy to keep special site pages out of search. for example, special sales pages or membership pages. They can be hidden from both your HTML and XML sitemaps. See how to do it in this quick video tutorial.

Updated: Yoast has updated the plugin since I made this video. Settings are just a little different (less of them) but still close enough for jazz.

This is same kind of SEO info I teach in my 1-on-1 training classes.
And there are plenty more videos just like this
in the full BlogAid Video Tutorial Library.

  1. Sitemaps are the blue-print of websites. Having non-indexed pages always brings trouble to a typical website. Submitting a sitemap to webmaster tools will solve some of the trouble

    1. Shalin, when you are using the WP SEO plugin to generate the sitemaps, and have submitted that XML sitemap to GWT, then the pages that you want to hide are naturally flagged that way in it. I’ve had zero issues with non-indexed pages. Google has zero issues with non-indexed pages, as long as you tell Google about them.
