Tips Tuesday – Catch the Summer Tribe Vibe

Happy Summer, y’all!!!
There’s nothing new happening with sites, SEO, online security, or such this week. Just more of the same.
So, today’s Tips Tuesday is a joy-filled post for you.
And I sure hope it helps you catch the vibe I’ve been feeling all this year.
The Tide is Turning
Y’all, I’ve been pumped up all year long from the new vibe rising in the world.
It’s becoming all about tribe – creating it and ensuring it flourishes.
And I’m thrilled.
Olympic Fever
This high started with the Olympics.
If I were an athlete, I would have wanted to be a women’s figure skater. To me, it’s the perfect blend of strength, grace, and artistry.
So of course, I watch it every chance I get.
And Alysa Liu’s Olympic performances and mindset blew the lid off the sport.
I’m thrilled with the changes the ISU is making to capitalize on the new rise in fan base. Plus, more folks have signed up for skating lessons than in the history of the sport.
On top of that, older skaters have returned to their love of it. There are even more “over 40” competitions and such being planned now too.
The Stars on Ice tour sold out rinks all over the country for the first time this year as well.
But what I believe is the very best thing to come from this year’s Olympics is the sisterhood that bloomed within the US team, and was embraced by the rest of the team, and carried across borders to celebrate skaters from every country. Competitors are no longer enemies.
True sportsmanship and celebration has returned!!!!!
And that carried over to the SOI tour.
They built a tribe of fans and skaters that resurrected the joy of doing things for the love of doing them.
Artemis II
Before skating fever was even over, I began following the Artemis II launch. This is the program that is taking us back to the moon.
I got hooked on space flight and moon missions as a kid.
In fact, on my 7th birthday, I remember how excited I was while watching Apollo 11 launch to carry the first people to the lunar surface.
And all of the sweet things that happened during the Artemis II mission had me overflowing with joy, especially when Commander Wiseman sent a silent message to his daughters that led to the famous reply from Control, “Copy heart. Copy bracelet.”
Not to mention him naming a lunar crater for his late wife.
Oh, I was in tears.
And to see a woman leading Cap Comm and a woman on the craft. Wow!!! It made me realize just how much has changed within my lifetime.
The comradery of the crew was so heartwarming. They will be family for life.
And they embraced the whole world into their tribe.
Kelsy Rowing
Kelsey Pfendler is attempting to become the first woman to row the mid-Pacific solo from California to Hawaii.
This is an unsupported row – no replenishments of food, water, or other supplies.
I’ve been tracking her progress daily and she is going to smash the world record for it too.
More than that, I’ve been involved in the tribe that is springing up around her journey.
She shares at least one post every day, and they are so positive, including what she is learning about herself, especially when things are tough.
She’s inspiring everyone to go do the thing that big dreams are made of.
FIFA World Cup
I’ve heard it said that, “The World Cup didn’t need America, but America needed the World Cup.”
All of God’s children dancing and celebrating in the streets together.
This is the way we were intended to live!!!!!
I can think of no finer example of global tribe building than this.
Social media, especially TikTok, is flooded with folks from all over the world realizing how much they have been lied to about the U.S. by regular media.
They can’t believe how big the country is, that yellow school buses are real, and that we’ve been keeping Ranch dressing a secret from the world.
Bonds among the people have been welded together.
In fact, the Scotland fans have been so embraced by the people of Boston that Mayor Michelle Wu officially signed a Letter of Intent to make Boston a sister city of Glasgow.
The DJs in the host camp cities are blending the music of their visiting countries. And let me tell you, K-Pop mixed with Mariachi is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
Song of the Summer
Speaking of music, have you heard the song Emerald Jade Green Ball yet?
It’s totally blowing up on TikTok and quickly becoming the song of the summer.
It’s about Ms. Debra’s rescue dog, Emerald, and the silly names she has given each of her other rescue pups.
The swamp tune’s lyric hook that is playing rent free in everyone’s head is something like:
Lida bidda boda butt (this was her momma’s dog originally)
Chippy, dippy, dopey, duck
Emmey demmy dawg (this one is Emerald)
Here’s a clip https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8sgcmHb/ to get your happy earworm for the day.
It’s pending release on Spotify, and maybe then we’ll get to hear the whole song and read the real lyrics.
Watching everyone groove on the same song all summer is my kind of tribe!!!
Are You Feeling it Too?
Share your happy vibe-rising experiences and how you’re seeing the tide turn so this BlogAid tribe can celebrate with you!!

I feel it too! Add the Knicks NBA Championship win and the list of vibe-rising experiences continues to grow.
Absolutely!!! The Knicks winning had NY and most of the country celebrating. We all love an underdog for sure!! Been a LONG time for them.
I love this MaAnna! I’m feeling somethings rising and hope it continues. I recently returned from walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. The camaraderie among pilgrims from all around the world was amazing. Thanks for spreading the joy!
That’s so cool!!!!!!! Isn’t it amazing how just regular folks can get along so well, especially around a common activity.
